Welcome to Key Kindness
We’re a donor-supported rescue network dedicated to making life better for animals in need – especially those who have been overlooked, abandoned, or forgotten. At our core, we’re a foster-based organization (not a physical shelter), which means every animal in our care is living in a safe, loving home while they wait for their forever family.
Our work goes beyond rescue. We run programs that provide food to homeless animals, support trap-neuter-release efforts, fund basic medical care to our pets in need and connect to educational programs. We also help connect people with their perfect pet match, whether it’s through one of our fosters or through our wider community network.
At Key Kindness, it’s all about kindness, compassion, connection, and giving animals the second chance they deserve.

We are so grateful for our community no matter the capacity, and are always looking to grow our team of volunteers!
Just a few ways to help:
🐾Foster through adoption
🐾Temp foster (1-7 days at a time)
🐾Transport (pick up from the shelter, bring to vet appointments)
Adoption events (chaperone a pup, watch the puppy play pen)
All of our volunteers fill out the foster application and then are added to our volunteer group!
